General Discussion / What seems odd or out of place?
« on: September 06, 2014, 07:44:46 AM »
I was reading about a case solved by brilliant Private Investigator Ken Brennan.  The case is called 'The Body in Room 348'.  He also worked on another interesting case, the 'Case of the Vanishing Blonde'.

Here's a link to the newest case:

In this case, PI Brennan asked the wife of the deceased man

"Was there anything about the crime scene that didn't seem right to you?"

That got me thinking that there are quite a few things surrounding Jenn's case that just don't seem right.

Let's get a list together, weed out the things that can be explained away, and what we will be left with are things that we agree are really odd.

I will start.

1.  JC 'crocodile' comment.  This comment coming from a coworker, friend, and possibly more?
2.  The sweater in the hamper of whose belonging is 'unknown'.
3.  Travis' phone is missing, a phone that very few people knew was in Jenn's possession.
4.  Matt, Jenn's ex, being nearby and drunk and not telling anyone he was nearby for a long while after she went missing.
5.  JC in a heated discussion with Jenn on the day she returned to work after her vacation with Rob.  Jenn remaining cool and calm during that convo.
6.  Two cell phones, Travis' and Jenn's, pinging in opposite directions.
7.  The white van in front of Jenn's condo, parked there when Logan arrived.  Logan asked them to open the van and they would not do so.
8.  Jenn's car being parked at HOG of all places.
9.  Jenn's unusually short call with Rob at 10 pm.
10. The DVD player strapped in the seatbelt of Jenn's car.
11. Nobody saw or heard a thing.  Not at Mosaic, not at HOG, not at her work.  Nobody has come forward from a bar, a restaurant, some other residential area.  Does this mean that something happened to Jenn in a remote area?
12. How quickly the battery was removed from Jenn's phone (10:40 pm) after her call with Rob (10:00 pm).
13. Jenn's phone pinged at night, away from her condo, after telling Rob she was ready for bed.  Or in bed.  Something like that.
14. The million dollar reward put up by Siegel for Jenn's 'safe return'.
15. Jenn's mail key fob and mace was found in Windermere.
16. 'Adam Frank' gets let go from his job because of filing harassment charges.
17. JC and showing the ornament to the Kesses.
18. POI walking from parking Jenn's car back to Mosaic (Bo the Bloodhound's path).

Give me your additions, or tell me why anything above is not 'odd' and if you convince me, I'll take it off my list.  I will do the same for your additions.  Either explain them away or leave them on the list.  Let's see what we have left.

Large search conducted in Kesse case

Posted:  Feb 23, 2014 6:44 PM CST Updated:  Feb 23, 2014 6:44 PM CST

The Orlando Police Department, in conjunction with Central Florida Search and Rescue and the Orange County Sheriff's Office Marine Unit, conducted a search on Saturday related to missing Orlando woman Jennifer Kesse.

Kesse, 24, disappeared from her condominium near Mall at Millenia on January 24, 2006.

Over 200 acres of wooded terrain and a lake on the west side of International Drive were inspected by certified dog teams and approximately a hundred people, including employees and volunteers for the agencies involved.

"We were asked to attend if we wished to," said Jennifer's father, Drew Kesse, adding that the search did not produce any results.  "We declined, unless a find was made. We have ridden that ride many times without bearing fruit. That ride is not pleasant and very tough to handle time after time."

Kesse vanished without a trace.  Her car was found days later, abandoned.  Police have received thousands of tips in the case and believe she was abducted.

Tips in the Kesse case can be reported to Crimeline 800-423-TIPS (8477) or to the Orlando Police at 407-246-3982.

General Discussion / Jennifer being seen with Two Men
« on: August 02, 2011, 07:57:56 PM »
I know this has come up and we always go back and try to find out how this 'rumor' started.

It wasn't a rumor, but a tip, according to Drew.

Here is the interview on ISSUES WITH JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL with the Kesses on Dec. 4th, 2009.

About 3/4 of the way down, Drew says

D. KESSE: Well, it was a young lady that called in and honestly, Joyce doesn`t even know this because the police took over on it, but a young lady called in and said that she was with a gentleman that she knew, that knew something about Jennifer`s taking. That he had seen her with two men the day of. And once they started speaking about her case again, he went to her picture and said that is the young lady I saw with these two men.

General Discussion / Face Recognition
« on: July 23, 2011, 10:11:58 AM »
I just had a thought, and wanted some feedback.

You know how there is face recognition software out there?

I really haven't looked into it, but someone was telling me about using it on facebook.  It was a facebook application or something.

Anyhow, they took a picture of their family member, and the face recognition software was able to find that person in other people's photos on facebook.

I was thinking that a family (or us) of a missing person could take their picture, and surf the web with some face recognition software.  This might help if the missing person is somewhere out there brainwashed or drugged, or has amnesia, or had left of their own accord, maybe starting a life under an assumed name.

This might also help in the arena that F_J is delving into.  If Jennifer has been abducted and forced into pornography or prostitution.

CAM 2 is the video of POI parking Jenn's car.  It can be found on the home page of  You need to scroll down, towards the end of the page.  You also need the free version of Quicktime, to view the video, or you will just see a big "Q", where the video should be playing.

Here is a video of mainly the inside of Jenn's car, showing (1)  the cupholder, with the phone charger and what appears to be a business card in it  (2)  the passenger front seat floor, with Jenn's sandals on the floor and (3)  the DVD player strapped into the back seat.

General Discussion / Date / Timestamp off on Camera at HOG?
« on: June 08, 2011, 04:18:25 PM »
Could the date/timestamp have been off by a day or two, on the camera at HOG?

We know they have reported that the time was off, but what about the day?

Were Jenn's family & friends going door to door at HOG, the day she disappeared, the next day?

Why didn't they then notice her car?

General Discussion / Tool Booth

Interesting, and I've never saw this before.  We did talk a bit about Jenn's car, and was it seen going through any toll booths.  White male with blond hair.

Hey all ...

Since Fl_sun posted the original info on this TommyGuns post here on WS .. and many websleuthers here are unable to access it without going through the process of registering at the other forum - I thought it would be appropriate to bring the entire post here for your review & comments.

On July 25, 2006 - a registered user with the handle, "TommyGuns", posted the entry below - apparently it was written & posted by someone else named "Tony". The post appears to have been taken from some other unsourced (unnamed) forum.

I copied the post exactly as it was written - without adding the appropriate punctuation or correcting the spelling. The portion that has been 'bolded' was done by me.

General Discussion / Recreate Jenn's morning
« on: March 12, 2011, 07:41:30 PM »
I've been thinking about what Jenn's morning routine may have been.
And did anything seem out of place?
Trying to get us to put on our thinking caps again!

Check out my last bullet.  I want LE to do this NOW!

- sleep
- set alarm - on clock or phone.  I think Drew said phone.  So we can't
check that, because the phone is gone.
- wake up.
- make bed, or not?
- make coffee, or not?  did she stop for coffee in the morning.  I think
Drew said she wasn't a coffee person.
- what did she drink in the morning?
- did she normally eat or drink anything in the morning?  Did she leave
plates/cups out, put them in the sink once dirty, or wash them.  Was anything out of place?
- what was in her garbage in her apartment?
- was she low on groceries?
- can't believe this came to mind, but did she have her menses?  did she
need 'supplies' and had to run out early to get them?  that is something
any woman would run out for!
- would she have gotten on her laptop.  Drew did say that LE had her
laptop, and had downloaded the contents of her laptop to be saved/looked
at by them.
- watch the news?  what was the last station on her TV?  Could that give
an indication as to whether she watched something the night before
(possibly from her bed), or in the morning (possibly in the living room?)
Maybe that would give a greater indication that she was in her condo
overnight.  I would think the cable company would be able to tell what
she was watching that night and morning.  Or her cable bill?
- Clothes were laid out on her bed.
- The shower was wet.  The towels were wet.  Her makeup bag was on the
counter.  All indications, along with the clothes, that she was there in
the morning.
- Did she normally take out her garbage in the morning?  Where do the
residents take it to?
- Did she normally do laundry in the morning?  Did she have an in-unit
washer/dryer, or did she need to go out of her condo, to somewhere on the
condo property?
- Did she write out any bills that night or morning.  What was the last
check she wrote?  What was the last bill she paid online and when?
- Jewelry missing might be easier to determine than what she had on.  I
know there was some talk about a 3 diamond necklace that is missing, that
she may have had on.  This would be enough for robbery.
- Did she have a heating/cooling unit in her condo?  Was it turned up?
Was it working?  Was there a power failure?  Something that made her
leave her condo?
- Would she have gone out to her car, to get a certain pair of shoes or
some other item?  I know Drew said her trunk was full of junk.  I think
that's what he meant by her being a car slob, that the trunk was full.
What was in there that she may have needed?
- Since we all believe she left her condo door, and that something may have happened on the way to her car.  What about the hallway outside her condo?  Wasn't her parking spot in such a place, that she left her condo door, and walked down a long hallway, then down a flight of stairs? If she was abducted in that hallway, she may have struggled.  Can't they use some special light, that will show blood, saliva, urine, on the hallway walls?  I know I've seen them use it with crime scenes, where they can see the trail of where they took someone.  Why can't they use this today, if they didn't already do it?

- did Drew say that a pedophile lived next door to Jennifer?
- revisit the fact that the landscapers were at Mosaic every Tuesday at 7:30 a.m.
- Jennifer flew from Fort Lauderdale to Puerto Rico, then flew to the Caribbean
- Logan was given a lie detector test by the FBI.
- one profiler said to concentrate on the timeline.
- another profiler said that POI, or the person who abducted Jennifer, did not have their own car.  That they lived, worked, or were visiting Mosaic.  That they parked her car nearby in order to walk back to where they came from (Mosaic).
- one profiler said that there may be new technology to enhance the POI photo or video, although Drew said that Walmart, Target, and Nasa have enhanced it.
- one profile said that they thought this was a drug-related crime.  That people in the jails and drug addiction places should be interviewed.
- One idea was to go to Mexico and show the POI photo.  Drew has written all the UN consulates, the UN offices and the countries themselves.
- The problem now is that the OPD says to call the FBI, and the FBI says to call OPD.

General Discussion / Other Crimes in Orlando around January 2006
« on: January 18, 2011, 06:03:45 PM »
I just found this on the Orlando Sentinel.

You can choose whatever day you want, and get the news in Orlando on that day.

Some articles that immediately catch my attention are

- Man gets probation in attack
- Girl shot in road skirmish
- East Orange break-ins rattle nerves (especially this one)

Anyhow, I'm thinking of checking some of the news articles out, weeks and maybe months before and after Jennifer went missing.

Maybe there's a clue here?

General Discussion / bus routes
« on: February 06, 2010, 07:14:03 PM »
I was reading up a bit on Websleuths' Jennifer Kesse forum, and I found this very interesting.  I know some of us had surmised that the POI either rode a bike, or took a bus...  Here is a post from 'RPS' on Websleuths...  What do you all make of this?  There was then discussion that POI could have been working the overnight shift in food service at Universal, or security at Universal, then took the bus to go home, that passes right by Mosaic...

I'm new on this thread, so please excuse me if this has been hashed out before.

Her car was found at the HOTG, at Americana and Texas Avenues.

Does anyone else find it curious that there is a bus that runs from the Universal Studios Employee Center that stops at that same intersection? More interestingly, This same bus directly passes her condo:

Could it be possible that the perp was someone ending his shift instead of starting? Thanks.

General Discussion / webcams

I just noticed that Florida has a LOT of webcams all over the state!

Some of these pictures are from July 2007, so they may or may not have been in place in January 2006.   I don't know if any data would be available from Jan. 2006, but maybe the images are archived?

General Discussion / Abduction methods
« on: January 18, 2010, 06:16:44 PM »
I was reading about different abductions, and I came across this description of a woman TV anchor, Jodi Huisentruit, being abducted while she got into her car.  If you want, read the entire article here, it is from True Crime Diary

What I found interesting is that she left for work VERY EARLY in the morning, 4:30 a.m.  It must have been dark out at that time, yet someone DID hear her scream.  Unlike Jennifer's case, there was a huge sign of a struggle near her car, things strewn about, her key in the ignition, DRAG marks on the pavement.  And someone noticed a suspicious white van in the parking lot.

In Jenn's case, there was nothing to indicate a struggle had occurred near her car.  Yet her shower was wet, it appeared she got ready for work, her purse and briefcase was missing, as if she left to go to work...

Jenn doesn't seem the type to not put up a struggle.  You would think there would have been signs of a fight!

I have to conclude that either (1) she knew her abductor, and drove him willingly in her car, or (2) she got into her car and drove somewhere, stopped, and that is where she was abducted.  This crime is way too clean.  Either they were professionals, like in trafficking, or the crime scene is actually somewhere else, somewhere she stopped that morning...

I don't think she left her condo, and never made it to her car.  I think there would be similar signs, dropping her purse, stuff on the ground, drag marks, screaming.

Here is part of the article...

"...Worry turned to panic when police discovered Jodi?s personal items scattered across her apartment complex?s parking lot. A hair dryer, hair spray, a pair of red shoes - things Jodi brought everyday to work. Years later one investigator recalled that the most disturbing detail was finding Jodi?s car key bent in its lock. She had been so close to driving away.

Someone awful got her first. Drag marks on the pavement near Jodi?s Mazda Miata indicated a fierce battle. Neighbors reported hearing a woman?s scream around 4:30 a.m., the time Jodi would have been leaving for work. Jodi?s abductor must have been familiar with her daily routine. Crime scene photos show a small park adjacent to Jodi?s apartment building. Shrouded in trees, it is the perfect place for a troubled man to lie in wait, patient and methodical, and spin dark dreams."
